Mission Statement
The mission of the MCCSC Literacy Services department is to do whatever it takes to develop great readers and writers. Through effective, on-going professional development based on strong, evidence based practices and support of teachers and families, all MCCSC students will participate in outstanding literacy practices throughout their pre-K-12 MCCSC educational experiences.

In MCCSC, Literacy is the base of all work that we do. A pre-K-12 literacy focus is being developed to coordinate program implementation across the district.
