I have posted and discussed in class on Tue basic project guidelines. I will soon contact you individually to discuss them with you. Below I include a list of things we should have on our websites currently. The individual messages, coming to you in a few hours will discuss them one by one. Nobody loses any points if the website is not uptodate yet, but by Thanksgiving we want to have all homework assignments finished, and also all lab assignments posted, so you can focus on the project only. Homework One: your Apache website with picture and some HTML Homework Two: the Flag Quiz in CGI/Perl with hidden fields Homework Three: tables populated with data, two query scripts on-line Homework Four: Flag Quiz with PHP (two programs: sessions, hidden fields) Homework Five: the Flag Quiz with CGI/DBI and Perl (server-side state) Homework Six: Flag Quiz with Javascript/DHTML (one script, in protected) Will be announced tomorrow: Homework Seven: the Flag Quiz with servlets and JSP (4 programs) Labs: we need to show on the website what we've worked on in lab. Lab One: the archive Lab Two: the basic scripts Lab Three: setting up protected Lab Four: HTTP (GET vs POST) Lab Five: installation of MySQL and PHP Lab Six: CGI/DBI sample scripts Lab Seven: Midterm Prep Lab Eight: Practical Exam Lab Nine: Homework Six Help All of the above is behind us, the remaining three labs are: Lab Ten: Installation of Tomcat Lab Eleven: Servlets, JSP and Homework Seven Help Lab Twelve: JDBC in servlets You will also need to provide on your website links to all four implementations of your midterm exam: CGI hidden, CGI/DBI, PHP with hidden fields and PHP with sessions. Also on the website needs to be a description of the type of project you are thinking of doing this semester. Thu and especially next Tue there will be examples. Also, tomorrow Thu, Vamsi Gadey will make a presentation on his independent study project. If you have any questions or need any help please let me know. Thanks a lot for your hard work this semester! ... Adrian
