A290/A590
Assignments/Projects Based on
Class Material and Individual Research.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You
will have to have a valid IU NetworkID and be officially enrolled in
A290/A590 in order to access the resources presented below .
Important Shared Resources.
This is where I will put links to important resources
everyone needs access to. This area should grow as the course progresses.
The storyboard images presented in class on 2/16/23 as examples of part of what you are being asked to do for Final Project Phase 2.
- Using Storyboards in a different context An example of storyboards for a video production. Doing this work in advance is a long standing practice that allows for many options to be considered and discarded on the path to the best solution. Advance preparation saves time and potentially useless work.
- Storyboard Sample 1 Actually a storyboard of a website, but this is a good example of the "roadmap" storyboard I would like as part of Phase 2a.
- Storyboard Sample 2 Another "roadmap" example but this has far too much written information for what this page should be doing. These written details should be included in the Phase 2b logical design document instead.
- Storyboard Sample 3 A less effective version of the "roadmap," because it does not clearly show how each page is "accessed" from the other(s). This is NOT how you want to present your detailed storyboards for each screen. No more tha two (2) screens per 8.5 x 11 sheet.
- Mobile-specific Storyboard Sample 1 This is a mobile-specific version of a "roadmap" storyboard. It could be better, but it does focus more on the relationships of the various screens than the screens themselves.
- Mobile-specific Storyboard Sample 2 Another mobile-specific example of how you do NOT want to do your storyboards. This example tries to put all the screen details into 9 very small spaces. Give yourself room to work with. Remember, no more than 2 "screen details" per 8.5 x 11 sheet.
- Storyboard Sample by Jeff of our Sudoku project My attempt to create the "master board" storyboard for our Sudoku project shared in class. This is just the "master board" and shows how you want to focus on the visual aspects in your storyboards. Keep any written components to a minumum.
