Grading

Spring 2000

Course grades will be determined as follows:
Component Weight
10-12 Homework Assignments 35%
Practical 1 15%
Practical 2 15%
Midterm 15%
Final 20%

So overall the homework assignments (labs and quizzes) will count as 35% of the final grade. The two practical exams will count as 30% of the final grade (taken together). The two written exams (a midterm and a final) will count as the remaining 35% of it.

There will several opportunities to get bonus points, which includes a two-part alternative take-home final exam (you need to have a write up and defend it in an 15-20' individual appointment with me).
